“New Day, New Me” program.
Last Tuesday evening, in the SCS Cosmetology room, we participated in the first ‘New Day, New Me’ event. Spearheaded by our local cancer support associaton, this evening was geared to women who are living with cancer. These women have been relatively recently diagnosed…and are seeking answers to issues that surround them…with respect to the skin care, make-up needs, hair replacement needs and breast prosthesis issues. Local experts (which included myself…Lisa…and my sister Brendalee and my mom Betty), together with an energetic bunch from Clark’s PharmaSave, treated the women to make-overs. We also answered questions regarding wigs, false eyebrowns and eyelashes, moisturizers—to name a few. We had a great evening with our guests, who were then treated to dinner at ’The Blue Elephant’ compliments of the generous Baldock family who direct the “George’s Night Out” program.
