The Dolmor features 10 styling stations, a colour bar for treatments, a relaxing lather lounge, an esthetics room, and a private room for wig and hair extension consultations.

Our extensive retail area is always well stocked with professional hair care products including: Eufora, Eufora HERO for men, Goldwell and milk_shake. As well, we stock and recommend professional styling tools such as flat irons, blow dryers, curling wands and all of the latest and greatest brushes to help you maintain your fabulous new hair style at home.
Our History
The Dolmor, a salon that was established in 1952, has a rich history that spans several decades. Originally founded by Elizabeth and Flory Engelhardt, the salon quickly gained a reputation for its dedication to providing top-notch service and its meticulous attention to detail. Their commitment to excellence laid the foundation for a thriving business.
In 1991, the next generation took over the reins of the Dolmor. Lisa Engelhardt and her husband David Robinson acquired the business, embracing the legacy established by Lisa’s parents. Under their leadership, the salon continued to flourish, building upon the solid reputation that had been cultivated over the years.
As of December 2019, the ownership of the Dolmor transitioned once again. Amanda and Jason Watson, a young and driven couple, became the proud new owners of the salon. It’s evident that they share the same determination for success that Elizabeth and Flory Engelhardt had when they initially opened the salon. Amanda and Jason are enthusiastic about upholding the salon’s legacy and furthering its success into the future.
The Dolmor’s story is a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. With each new generation of owners, the salon’s legacy has been preserved and enhanced, ensuring that clients continue to receive exceptional service and attention to detail.
Our Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes it is necessary to reschedule or cancel appointments. Therefore, please notify us at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time and we will gladly reschedule your appointment. Please understand that when you forget about or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time. Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours before because we know how easy it is to forget.
If we do not hear from you 15 or more minutes into your scheduled appointment time it is considered a “No-Show” and your card will be charged for 50% of the services scheduled. Please note that if you are over 15 minutes late for your appointment we may have to reschedule your service if it cannot be completed in the remaining time frame. All attempts to reschedule in a timely manner will be made.
For appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours or “no-shows”, we charge 50% of the service total.
In the event that the 24 hour cancellation fee is required, we will call you and request payment by phone. Once we receive the payment, we will be happy to schedule your next service.

Amanda Watson, Owner & Designer Stylist
Born and raised in Norfolk County, Amanda is the newest owner of The Dolmor. Some of Amanda’s hobbies include painting, sailing/boating, camping, cooking/baking, and being outdoors. Amanda and her husband and business partner Jason have a young daughter and newly a son, who regularly comes to visit the salon. Amanda has been in the industry for over 11 years, and she previously graduated from the Hair Styling program from Marvel Beauty School in London, Ontario. Amanda specializes in blondes, colours, cuts, barbering, up-dos and Great Lengths Hair Extensions. Amanda is also a certified make-up artist. Amanda has been a stylist at the Dolmor for over 10 years. Amanda is currently taking time way from behind the chair to focus on being a business owner and taking care of her family.
Tracey Ebdon, Designer Stylist
Mary-Jo Kiss, Designer Stylist
Mary-Jo has been a dedicated member of the Dolmor Salon team for over 18 years. her long-standing tenure at the salon is a testament to her commitment and expertise in the field. Mary-Jo’s training and certification in multiple colour and creative cutting systems highlight her dedication to staying updated with the latest techniques and trends in the industry. With her extensive knowledge and skills, Mary-Jo can transform her clients’ visions into reality, ensuring that they leave the salon satisfied with their desired looks. Mary-Jo’s vast experience, training and dedication make her an invaluable member of the Dolmor Salon team, and her ability to create customized looks based on her clients’ visions set her apart as a talented and sought- after stylist.
Timothy Walters, Designer Stylist
Tim has been a part of the Dolmor Salon for over 27 years. Such long-standing commitment to a salon indicates Tim’s passion for his work and the trust he has built with clients over the years. Tim’s specialization in working with short hair demonstrates his expertise in creating stylish and flattering looks for clients who prefer shorter hairstyles. Short haircuts require precision and attention to detail, and Tim’s knowledge and skill in traditional colouring allow him to achieve beautiful and natural- looking hair colours that complement his clients’ individual styles. Clients who appreciate classic looks and short hairstyles can trust Tim to deliver professional and exceptional service.
Sara West, Designer Stylist
With Sara’s 20+ years experience in the industry, her time at the Dolmor for the past 6 years has been valuable in providing exceptional service to her clients. Sara’s specialization in creative highlight allows her to bring unique and artistic techniques to create stunning looks. Additionally, her proficiency in specialized wigs fittings enable her to cater to individuals looking for personalized solutions in wig selection and styling.
Megan Paulin, Stylist
Megan is an experienced stylist with a specific area of expertise. Having working at the Dolmor for more than 6 years, she has developed a strong understanding of the salon’s atmosphere and clientele. her specialization in blonding and balayage indicates her proficiency in creating natural and artful hair colour effects. Megan’s main focus in on women’s cuts and colouring, suggesting that she has honed her skills in tailoring haircuts and colour treatments to suit women’s preferences and styles. With the combination of cuts and colouring means she can provide clients with comprehensive hair transformations.
Heather DeBoer, Master Stylist
Heather has a wealth of experience in the field of hairstyling, having worked in the industry for many years. However, she has recently reentered the hairstyling industry on a very part-time basis, with her work limited to Saturdays only. Despite her hairstyling background, what makes Heather’s situation unique is that her current position is situated within a garden center.
Madeleine Jacobs, Stylist
Arianna Butler, Apprentice
We welcome Arianna to the industry with open arms and providing opportunities to learn and grow alongside top-tier stylists. Her passion for learning new techniques and her commitment to utilizing that knowledge will undoubtedly serve her well as she progresses in her career. She has a goal of pursuing a career as a stylist in the film industry which can be incredibly exciting and rewarding. Arianna’s creativity is a valuable asset, especially in an industry like film where imagination and innovation are key. Encouraging her to continue exploring new looks and styles will not only help her hone her skills but also contribute to her success in the field. With her passion, enthusiasm, and determination, Arianna is well-positioned to make a significant impact as a member of the Dolmor Team
Alyssa Genore, Esthetician
Alyssa started in the aesthetics industry 3 years ago where she graduated from Gina’s College of Aesethetics. She specializes in classic aesthetic services. Alyssa grew up in the city and has settled into a small town in Norfolk county. Her spare time is spent with family, friends and her ducks and chicks. We welcome Alyssa to the Dolmor Team and look forward to growing with her passion for making her guests look and feel beautiful.
